Fat Cat on a Mat is a funny, easy-to-follow phonics story about a rather comfortable fat cat who is happily settled on a mat and doesn’t want to move! The story uses simple rhyming words, repetition and phonetic sounds to make early reading enjoyable and approachable for young children.
Colourful illustrations by Stephen Cartwright help children follow the story visually while they practise sounding out and recognising simple words.
